![]() I'm thinking there will probably be at least a little bit more variety in the styles that they haven't shown yet in the trailer/promo pics - I know it won't be exactly like its spiritual prequels, but visually distinct styles were a pretty crucial part of the gameplay of the Style Savvy titles. What do you guys think of the fashion in the trailer? What do you think the gameplay will be like without the boutique? While we're waiting for the release, we might as well talk about our expectations! I think they could have gotten away with bringing back some of the older styles, since 90s and 2000s fashion is trendy (at least here in the US), but we'll have to wait for more details to see if they did. I really prefer 2000s silhouettes and layering over modern ones. They were so fun, colorful, and distinct. I'm definitely going to miss the old clothes. There are definitely hints of the old styles in the trailer, just very toned down with more modern silhouettes. Like clothes you would see in Larme magazine. Just like how the styles in the old games were influenced by trendy styles in the 2000s-2010s (the Retro and Pop tastes being influenced by Decora and Pop Kei, Bold and Flirty > Gyaru, Edgy > Visual Kei), I recognized the clothing in the trailer as styles that are trendy in Japan right now. What we can see so far definitely doesn't look as lively or unique as the styles in the previous games, but I think the developers made a decision to keep the clothing very realistic. I've also been seeing people say that the clothes in the game look boring or underwhelming. This was just the reveal trailer, so I'm sure there are more features to be revealed. From what we can see, there's not much of a storyline but I feel like there definitely has to be one. I know some people are worried about not having a boutique to run, and I'm a bit worried about that too, but in the trailer it seems like we'll just be running around styling people instead of them coming to us. ![]() When it comes to actual gameplay, there's not much we can get from the trailer.
